Company Description: Kraft’s Oscar Mayer facility produces OSAR MAYER® and LOUIS RICH® brands of cold cuts, hot dogs, bacon and luncheon meats. Products from the Oscar Mayer facility are distributed nationwide. The plant ships to Kraft’s seven regional distribution centers across the country where products are in turn shipped to retailers. Additionally, many products are shipped from the Madison plant to other Oscar Mayer and Kraft plants for use in products, such as pizza or LUNCHABLES.
Company History: Oscar Mayer purchased the facility in 1919 from a small farmers’ cooperative, and moved the company headquarters from Chicago to Madison in 1955. The facility has been expanded and updated over the years to enhance capacity and incorporate state-of-the-art technologies.
