Description:  Founded in 1857, Upper Iowa University is a private liberal arts univeristy providing education to over 700 students and over 4,700 center, online and independent study students throughout the world. By keeping current with educational trends and the employment marketplace, we can concentrate on relatively few major areas of instruction, thus maintaining academic flexibility to tailor your program of studies to your individual career aspirations. We currently offer 9 majors at the Madison Center all leading toward a B.S. degree. We also offer 5 major Certificate programs of study.

History:  Upper Iowa-University-Madison has been in operation since 1981 offering nine B.S. degree programs to adult learners within the Madison Metro Region. Our classes are 8 weeks in length and represent an accelerated pace of learning. We are located just off the Beltline at Midvale Blvd in a newly renovated building. We have partnered with MATC in Madison who has assisted us with a state-of-the-art computer lab with high speed internet access. We enjoy a very friendly campus environment, high academic quality, and a strong sense of interpersonal connectedness reinforced by frequent social events. We have a very flexible course schedule, and a generous college coursework transfer policy.

Work Environment:  We have a very professional, yet relaxed work environment. The overall atmosphere at UIU-Madison is an extremely friendly and collaborative learning environment between Professors and learners. Our staff also play a critical role in maintaining a professional and supportive environment for our students/employees.

Directions: Proceed West or East on the Beltline (Hwy 12/18) until you reach the Midvale/Verona Rd exit. Turn onto Midvale Blvd, and at the first set of lights, turn left onto Hammersly Rd. Drive about 2 long blocks and we are located on the left (follow the new signs).
