In our last Physical Education unit we spent a lot of time jumping and leaping. It was hard work. First we looked at the different take off and landing patterns. For example, kids can take off from two feet and land on two feet, called 2-2. They can take off on two and land on one, called 2-1 or take off on one and land on two, called 1-2. Finally, there is the one to one option, which is called a leap if you take off from one foot and land on the other or a hop if you take off from one foot and land on the same foot.
