Speak Out, Sister! | |

Madison SOS was founded in 2007 by a local teen seeking to connect her peers on important issues affecting young women--local and global, personal and political. In the fall of 2007, Madison SOS held a series of workshops on leadership and activism for teens from across the city. Teen leaders and adult advisors are now preparing to mobilize city-wide action by holding listening sessions and focus groups for teens across the city, working to create a status report that will provide a "snapshot" of teens' vision for the future of their community, launching an online forum for young women, and creating a community mural. We need your support! We have been humbled by the outpouring of support from community individuals, businesses, and nonprofit organizations, but we are always in need of volunteers and financial support. Comments, questions, and other feedback are always welcome! Tell us how you envision our work evolving. Drop us a line -- click here to email Natalia Thompson, Project Coordinator. Thank you for your support. |
