American Cancer Society Relay For Life
Date: 4/22/2005
Through: 4/23/2005

Relay For Life is an overnight event consisting of teams of 10-15 people spending approximately 14 hours walking or running around a track to raise money to fight cancer. It's a relay, with at least one member of each team on the track during the entire event. They will arrive at 6pm on Friday and stay overnight until Saturday morning at 8am.

Location: Camp Randall Sports Center, 1430 Monroe St.

The general public can attend any of the Relay's events for free, but the opening ceremony/survivor lap and the luminaria ceremony are the key events on Friday night.

Luminaria Ceremony (lit votive candles in paper bags in memory of or in honor of someone who has been touched by cancer): 9:00 p.m.
