Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated ® is the oldest sorority established by African American college trained women. The sorority was founded in 1908 at Howard University in Washington, DC. The founders of the organization were committed to sisterhood and began a legacy of service that extends beyond college graduation to service to all mankind. The organization today has over 200,000 members all over the world.
Kappa Psi Omega is the local chapter of this international organization, chartered in 1976 in the capital city of Madison, Wisconsin.
