Monthly Meetings For All U.S. Armed Forces Veterans VFW Post 7591 301 Cottage Grove Road, Madison, WI Continue to serve America and your fellow veterans while enjoying the comaraderie of your fellow AMVETS (American Veterans.) AMVETS members-at-large, veterans and active duty personnel who would like to join AMVETS are invited to meet us on the 3rd Monday of any month. Meetings start at approximately 7:00 pm. AMVETS Membership is NOT limited to veterans who served during a particular war or era. Anyone who has honorably served in the U.S. Armed Forces from WWII to the present, including anyone who has served in the wartime Merchant Marine, anyone who has or is presently serving in the National Guard or Reserves, and anyone who is now on active duty, is eligible to join AMVETS. For almost 60 years, the members of AMVETS have served veterans and their communities through AMVETS extensive programs including participation and assistance in: . Assisting Hospitalized Veterans . Special Olympics . Patriotic Observances . Presentation of ROTC Awards . Scouting . Blood and Organ-donor Programs . Drug and Alcohol-abuse Prevention Education. AMVETS also keeps a watchful eye on all Capitol Hill legislation and aggressively comments on every bill that is likely to affect veterans. ---- Join us on the 3rd Monday of any month ---- |
