What We Do
We are a Member of the Union of Messianic Jewish Congregations (UMJC), and are not affiliated with any other Jewish or Christian organizations. Do you sense that we are living in unusual and uncertain times? That our society may be advancing technologically, but deteriorating morally? Does it feel like there is some missing component in your religious experience? Are you concerned with the big questions like: What happens to me when I die? Does God really exist? If so, is He someone I can know personally, or is He far away and uninterested in me? Is the bible reliable? Is it possible that Christians are right when they claim that Yeshua (Jesus) is the Jewish Messiah? We are a Congregation of Jews and Gentiles who know Yeshua is the Jewish Messiah and He alone answers these big questions. He is the way to get closer to God and experience deeper meaning, purpose, fulfillment, and peace about your future. For your free copy of printed material from Traditional Rabbinical and Jewish Holy Scripture references, call us at:(608) 663-2790, or email us at: beityaacov@juno.com, or write to us at: 1213 N. Sherman Ave. #182, Madison, WI 53704. WHAT WE DO: Every Saturday Morning at 10:30 AM we gather to celebrate Ha Shem's (G-d's) gift of Shabbat(Sabbath). Our Celebration: Many believers don't celebrate Erev Shabbat in their homes on Friday night so we begin our service with the Kiddush candle lighting, followed by the B'ruchot (blessings) on the Challah Bread and Kosher wine and juice. The B'ruchot contines our celebration. From the Holy Scriptures: Weekly Torah and Haftorah portions are read (in English). Relevant B'rit Hadashah (New Testament) readings follow. Included are traditional Messianic Synagogue prayers and music. The first Shabbat of each Hebrew month (Rosh Codesh) we recall Yeshua's Final Seder Meal with Matzoh. (elsewhere often called Communion.) After services we may have Torah study, and/or Oneg (Pot Luck), and/or Israeli dance classes. Come, celebrate Festivals of the Torah with us: Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, Passover, Shavuot, Sukkot and Simchat Torah, Purim. We also celebrate Chanukkah, although it is not a Torah Festival, it's spiritually significant and fun. We also celebrate various other non-Torah Jewish and Israeli Holidays and Festivals Call us for additional details and information.
