Programs include (click for description): BLW Children's Camp MondayFriday 8:00-5:00 A structured school age(K-5) offering various activities each day and afternoon. Field trips. Activities include art, science, culture, sports and swimming while participants also enjoy free choice time daily. This is a bilingual (Spanish/English) program. Kid's Camp Participants enjoy membership in one of four clubs that meet twice weekly. Boys in grades 3-5 take part in Life as a Boy, Boys in grades K-2 enjoy the Boys United Club. Older girls are members of Girl Neighborhood Power, while younger girls take part in Girl Scouts. BLW Teen Program VIP: Wed 3:00-7:00pm, Fri 10:00am-5:00pm Teen Camp: Tues 3:00-7:00pm, Thurs 1:00-5:00pm Weekend Field Trips Teen Camp includes community service, cultural enrichment, recreation, group discussion, art, workshops and field trips.
The V.I.P. (Very Inspired Participant) Program is a leadership program developed to provide motivated youth with opportunities to have a significant role in BLW projects and external service engagements.
Girl Neighborhood Power (GNP) Monday 3:00-7:00pm Provides programming for girls ages 8-14. Activities include: leadership, girl council, community service, cultures, art, health education, recreation/fitness, field trips and more. |
