Community Action Coalition
CAC's mission is to develop the economic and social capacities of individuals, families and communities to reduce poverty. By creating and operating a wide variety of programs through specialized divisions, CAC strives to enhance the skills, knowledge and capacity of people experiencing poverty so they may improve their economic and social circumstances. Major service divisions include Citizen Advocacy, Family Support, Financial Services and Food & Gardens.

Dane County Job Center
Job Ctr logo The Dane County Job Center is a central location for people looking for work and businesses that need help finding qualified applicants.

Free Housing Counseling (TRC)
trc_banner The Tenant Resource Center (TRC) offers free counseling for tenants and landlords interested in learning more about their rental rights and responsibilities.

Information on state and local rental laws and regulations and lease screening services are available at TRC. We can also refer clients to other agencies when appropriate to assist them with their needs.

Housing Vacancy List (TRC)
TRC provides a list of housing vacancies in Dane County. The Housing Vacancy List is organized according to size, rent amount, and location, allowing tenants to contact the owners, management companies and sublettors who have immediate openings. The list is updated weekly on Wednesday afternoons.

JFF - Joining Forces for Families
dcdhs-logo Joining Forces for Families (JFF) is a voluntary, community-based, supportive service that helps families address their basic human needs. By quickly linking clients to resources, JFF often keeps families stable and deflects them away from costly formal system interventions.

The JFF program encourages cooperation between agencies in caring for families. JFF uses the combined talents and resources of the Dane County Human Services Department, public health, county and local law enforcement agencies, school districts, human services organizations, and residents to support the success of children, youth and families in home, school and the community.
