Mission

The BSP-Free Clinic (Benevolent Specialist Project) is dedicated to providing quality secondary health consultations by volunteer professionals to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of the uninsured, low-income patients that are referred to the clinic by a primary physician.

Vision

May we have eyes to see those who are rendered invisible and excluded -
Open arms and hearts to reach out and include them įÿý
Healing hands to touch their lives with love įÿý
And in the process, heal ourselves.

Goals

  • Provide quality secondary health care to uninsured residents of Dane County
  • Refer patients to appropriate community resources
  • Build greater community awareness to expand resources to support the operation and improve the health status of the uninsured
  • Serve as a model for other secondary free clinics to replicate

The BSP-Free Clinic began seeing patients at the Foundationįÿýs Allen Boulevard location in the fall of 2001. Since its inception the clinic has seen over 1,000 patients in specialties including psychiatry, neurology, hematology, dermatology, rheumatology, and internal medicine.

Patients are seen on a referral basis and must meet eligibility requirements.

To learn more about the BSP-Free Clinic, or to volunteer, please contact Kathy Williams, Clinic Coordinator at 608-827-2308 or Kathleen.Williams@deancare.com .
