About Us
We're the local Sherlock Holmes society in the Madison area for fans of The Master Consulting Detective and his biographer, Dr. John Watson. We are an officially-recognized scion of the Baker Street Irregulars. Membership in the Notorious Canary-Trainers is open to anyone of any age interested in the Sherlock Holmes case accounts. Guests are welcome at any of our meetings. Attendance at events usually ranges between one and two dozen. Membership is about 50. Meetings are open to the public and are held today on the same schedule as in the beginning -- the third Sunday of the month. We meet at the Booked for Murder bookstore, in the Lakepoint Commons shopping center, 2701 University Ave. Each meeting normally starts at 3 p.m. (an hour later than the original meetings) and ends no later than 4:30 p.m. If there is a holiday or other conflict on a particular meeting date, the fourth Sunday usually is substituted. We post any changes at this Web site. The current leader of the group is Thom Boykoff of Madison, to whom any correspondence may be addressed (221 S. High Point Rd., #305, Madison, WI 53717 and 608/833-3369) or Mike McCoy (One Hiawatha Circle, Madison, WI 53711 and 608/274-1638 or mikemccoy1852@yahoo.com NCT membership is free. If you are interested in being listed as a member, leave your name, mailing address, and phone number with the meeting facilitator at any of the monthly meetings or send that information to Mike McCoy.
