Rated Chess Tournaments for Beginners
We are ready to promote the game of chess in Madison |
The Madison Chess League hosts three Rated Beginner Open (RBO) chess tournaments each academic year (usually October, January, and May). These events are open to new US Chess Federation members and those rated under 1200. The RBOs are intended to give youth and other inexperienced players a chance to experience competitive tournament chess and build ratings while facing opponents of similar skill levels.
