POINSETTIA CARE INSTRUCTIONS Protect your plant with paper or plastic covering when transporting it outside. Never expose the plant to cold temperatures for more than a few minutes. Don't leave it in your car.
Inside, remove the wrapping as soon as possible. Place the plant in a bright area, but away from the sun or doors or windows or any other source of drafts or excess heat. Place it high enough to be out of the reach of children and animals. Maintain a home or office temperature between 50 and 72 degrees.
A saucer should be kept under the plant to catch excess water, which should be discarded after watering. Poinsettias should be watered thoroughly when soil is dry to the touch. After risk of frost is past, poinsettias may be placed outside. |
