About Us
The Cherokee Park Neighborhood Association was established in 1995. Homeowners elect an executive board at the annual neigborhood meeting. A neighborhood council initiates the planning and organizing of social activities such as: Nibble and Mingle, July 4th parade and picnic, a neighborhood garage sale, Park and Playground Commission, a Halloween autumn event and a Christmas Holiday Dinner, among many other events. This is a very active Neighborhood Association. The neighborhood also publishes a Neighborhood Directory that is given to all dues paying members, and distributes Newsletters to all residents on a bi-monthly basis. A Cherokee crime watch program is also very active. Block Captains provide a liaison between the board and homeowners. |
