School Walk for Diabetes
Date: 10/27/2005
Through: 10/25/2008
School Walk for Diabetes is an educational fund-raising program that promotes community service, school spirit and healthy living to students.
School Walk for Diabetes benefits schools, students and communities:
Schools that raise $1,000 or more earn gift certificates for physical education and school medical supplies.
Students learn about diabetes and how to make healthy choices through classroom lessons and activities while earning cool thank you gifts.
Communities benefit from youth who know the value of serving others. As these students grow older, they will remember the benefits of volunteering and will become the next generation of community leaders.

Tour de Cure 2008
Date: 5/17/2008
Through: 5/17/2008
There's something stronger than America's fastest growing disease: The people who are doing something about it.
The Tour is a ride, not a race, with routes designed for everyone from the occasional rider to the experienced cyclist. Whether participants ride 16 miles or 62 miles, they will travel a route supported from start to finish with rest stops, food to fuel the journey and fans to cheer them on!
In 2007, more than 32,000 cyclists in 78 Tour events raised nearly $13 million to support the mission of the ADA: to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes.
Gather your friends and family to ride and raise funds for Tour de Cure 2008. Together, we can crush this epidemic.
