After School Drop In--Daily 3:00-4:30 p.m. (Monday 1:30-4:30) Alternatives to Violence--Saturdays 10:00-12:00 noon. Teaches youth how to approach and solve difficult situations without resorting to violence. Youth Development Night--Monday through Thursday 6:00-8:00 p.m. Open to Pre-Teens on Mondays and Wednesdays and Teens on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Activities include: pool, foosball, Play Station 2, Dream Cast, field trips, swimming, guest speakers, movies, cooking class, and other special programs. Positive Options Program (P.O.P.)--Friday 5:00-9:00 p.m. Open to youth ages 5-18. Age specific AODA education activities for both Teens and Pre-Teens. Activities include: drug and alcohol awareness, self esteem building, decision making skills, and other educational curriculum which is followed by a wellness activity such as swimming, basketball, roller skating, or bowling. Tae Kwon Do--Monday nights, 6:00-8:00 p.m. Two sessions per night teaching basic to advanced self-defense techniques. Art--Various art related courses geared toward specific age groups. Computer Class--Available upon request. Open to youth ages 7 and older. Learning Center--Monday through Thursday 5:00-6:00 p.m. Open to youth ages 5-18. Activities include educational games, worksheets, educational videos, and help with homework. Boys Group--Meets Wednesday evenings from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Youth in boys group discuss problems and situations that come up in everyday life and how to appropriately address them.
Girls Group--Meets Monday evenings 6:00-8:00 p.m. Participants discuss wellness issues and topics relevant to everyday life.
Reading Class--Monday through Friday 4:30-5:00 p.m. Open to youth ages 5-18. Activities include: reading, worksheets, story tellers, phonics, computers, and reading recovery.
