Welcome to Even Start Family Literacy Partnership

Even Start Family Literacy is a program to help break the cycle of poverty and low-literacy, by improving the education opportunities for families. This is accomplished by integrating early childhood education, adult literacy and instruction, and parenting education into a unified program.

Even Start is impliemented nationally through cooperative projects that build on existing community resources, creating a new range of services for children, adults, and families.

The goals of the Even Start Program are to:

  • Provide Education for parents.
  • Provide age-appropriate educational activities, which prepare children for success in school and life.
  • Help parents become active members in their child's education.
  • Break the cycle of poverty and low literacy by improving educational opportunities for families.
