About Us
Family Support 360 offers several different kinds of services:
Information and Assistance to Families:
The Family Resource Center is available to any family member or provider who has questions or who would like information and support about accessing resources, supports, and services for children with developmental disabilities in Dane County.
Educational Opportunities:
Family Support 360 conducts free trainings, called Learning Circles, for families and providers on various disability-related topics. Learning Circles are intended to foster an environment of mutual learning and respect for each others' experience with and knowledge of children with disabilities. We hope these ongoing Learning Circles will help parents and providers learn from each other, create a support system, and generate opportunities to share their knowledge and experiences. A different topic is introduced monthly. For information on upcoming Learning Circle trainings, please visit the "Events" page.
Service Coordination:
A service coordinator at Family Support 360 can provide support to families and help with many issues, including:
Accessing disability information
Providing informational fact sheets
Applying for community programs
Working with schools
Obtaining adaptive equipment
Finding inclusive childcare
Locating respite care
Finding summer recreation
Maximizing Medicaid coverage
Searching for parent-to-parent support
There is no charge for our services. In addition, we work with interpreters to communicate with families that do not speak English. Feel free to drop-in at the Harambee Center to talk with staff, visit the resource center, or call us with any questions. Staff are also available to come to your home.
