From: "Tristan Jean" TristanJ@CertifiedLanguages.com
Subject: Finnish-English Interpreters Needed
Date: Wed, 18 Feb 2009

Hello, my name is Tristan Jean and I am the Interpreter Recruiter for Certified Languages International, an interpreting company. We are currently looking to hire a Finnish-English telephone interpreter to work from home as a part-time independent contractor, and I was wondering if you knew of anyone who might be interested in and qualified for this position. Qualified interpreters should have a land-line telephone, be fluent in English and Finnish, and be a current legal resident of the United States or Canada. No prior interpreting experience is required, and all interpreters are well-compensated for their time.

This has been a very difficult position to fill, so any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated. Please feel free to pass along my contact information to any interested parties and call me or write me at the phone numbers or e-mail address below with any questions or comments. Kiitos paljon,

Tristan Jean

Subject: Finnish language lessons in Madison?
Date: 12 Sep 2008

My daughter is in middle school and has developed a strong interest in Finland and the Finnish language. Is there any place in Madison where she can take lessons in Finnish? She recently found a book in the public library system and taught herself a bit of Finnish.

Greetings fellow Finns,

I am trying to plan a trip to Finland this coming June and having trouble finding a guided tour with other travelers. None of the local travel agencies have been able to help and I'm a bit intimidated by the anonymity of the few web site tours that I've found. Just can't bring myself to give them a VISA card number for a $5,000 trip without talking to somebody!

If anyone knows of a trip planner, tour company, or has some comforting ideas, I would greatly appreciate it.
