The Food Allergy Association of WI ( formally the Madison Food Allergy Support Group) is made up of over 300 local families who are all dealing with severe and life threatening food allergies. Dr. Michael Ritter and Dr. Neal Jain are the Medical advisor's for the group.

We meet every third Tuesday of the month during the school year, to discuss different topics related to food allergies. Some recent topics have been everything from new products and label reading, to the latest research and treatments.

By joining FAAW Support Group you will be gaining a wealth of information from people who have been there and are also dealing with the day to day struggles you may be facing.

Some other benefits are a playgroup during the summer months, and a buddy list where we will match up a newcomer with another family.

The support group meetings are free, but donations are welcome to cover copying and material costs.

Mission is: ... to provide a supportive group environment for parents of children with food allergies; ... to raise awareness about the prevalence & severity of food allergies and the challenges of raising a child with food allergies, and; ... to inform and educate parents, caregivers, peers, and educators about safely caring for children with food allergies.
