Friends of Lake View Hill

Hopefully around mid-March we'll see some cranes likes this, carved from LVHP butternut, and then sell them (or otherwise use them) to help fund our restoration efforts. Everyone who has seen these images has been knocked out by John Newman's craftsmanship. The butternut ones may make more use of the inherent grain to convey the essence of a sandhill crane. If the pilot program works, and Dane County remains amenable, we'll expand it to other woodworkers.
