A Gift to the Community
Over the last 10 years, as the park has developed its programming and awareness, it has outgrown its visitor and educational space. In 2007, we received nearly 5000 visitors and volunteers gave over 2300 hours in service.

To meet our increasing public interest, the Friends of Schumacher Farm Park launched a capital campaign to build a new park headquarters and visitor center named, "The Center for Rural History". This beautiful iconic barn is now ready to complete the interior phase of its construction. With over 5000 sq. ft., this timber-framed barn will enable us to provide service to the community that we are currently unable to give as well as allowing us to increase our educational programming offered to area schools.

HOW CAN I MADE A DONATION?
To mail in your donation, please call 608/849-4559, to have a self-addressed donation envelope sent to you.

To make a one time or set up a monthly mail in pledge donation, click on the "membership and donation forms" tab to the left. Then click on Barn Donation Form.

If you'd like to set up an automatic monthly withdrawal donation, click on "auto-withdrawal barn donation form", then print and complete. This form should be mailed directly to:

Schumacher Farm Park Fund
Madison Community Foundation
P.O. Box 5010
Madison WI 53705-0010

Is my donation tax deductible?
YES! Donations for the barn go directly to our account at the Madison Community Foundation, an agency that processes donations for hundreds of non-profit organizations in the greater Dane County area. Because the Friends is a 501(c)(3) organization, donations are tax deductible as allowed by law.

Thank you to all of you who have shown, and continue to show, your support in so many ways. It is so true that when we all do a little, we can do a lot!
