Habitat Harvest Benefit, Saturday, Nov. 7

Attend the Harvest Benefit with live music from Fuzzy Side Up and help the Habitat Church Build sponsored by the parishes: St. Bernard Parish, St. Thomas Aquinas, St. Peter's and St. Martins. The benefit will be Saturday, Nov. 7 from 8 p.m. to midnight, at St. Bernard Church Center, 7450 University Ave., Middleton. Tickets are $25 and are on a first come first serve basis because there are only 250 tickets. Advance sales only. Must be over 21 years of age to attend. Silent auction, door prize drawings, beer and wine bar, dancing and snacks and desserts. Concert to Benefit Habitat for Humanity of Dane County

Internationally known singer/songwriter Carrie Newcomer will be at Madison's The Brink Lounge, 701 E. Washington Ave., on Friday, Nov. 20 at 7:30 p.m. for benefit concert to benefit Habitat for Humanity of Dane County. Madison's own Stellanovas will be opening for the soulfully smooth Newcomer. Build with Habitat for Humanity, Attend Informational Meeting

Tired of renting or moving from year to year, learn more about owning a home and building with Habitat for Humanity of Dane County at one of our January informational meetings. Families must have a minimum annual income of $25,000. To learn more about program requirements, call the HFHDC Homeownership Informational Line at 255-1549, ext. 212. Habitat for Humanity's Souper Bowl XIV to be held Feb. 6
Date: 2/06/2010
The annual Souper Bowl fundraiser for the UW-Madison Chapter of Habitat for Humanity of Dane County will be held Saturday, Feb. 6, at Madison West High School, 30 Ash St., 3-8 p.m. The community meal event is the largest fundraiser for the student chapter. Last year the Souper Bowl raised a record $32,000. The cost is $15 for a bowl (meal provided) and/or $35 for a family of four (two bowls, four meals). The student chapter will be constructing its ninth student build home in Dane County. The home is located on the Eastside of Madison on the 800 block of Fair Oaks Ave. Souper Bowl is an evening of food, art, and entertainment, bringing the Madison community together to support Habitat for Humanity.
