Hiestand Neighborhood is defined by the boundaries of Milwaukee Street, Interstate 90/94, Highway 30 and Highway 51/Stoughton Road. Hiestand Neighborhood includes over 300 single residencies, two large apartment complexes, condominiums, numerous multi-family units, senior housing, two parks and over 30 different businesses.

The mission of the Hiestand Neighborhood Association is:

• To protect and enhance the residential and business character of the area
• To promote neighborhood quality and safety
• To promote participation in neighborhood planning
• To work together as residents and businesses to enhance the area in which we live and work
• To build a sense of community among neighbors
• To represent the interests of the neighborhood to the Madison Common Council, the Dane County Board and all appropriate governmental agencies.
