DAR PROJECT PATRIOT SUPPORTS OPERATION ENDURING FREEDOM

NSDAR and its chapters, including John Bell, are now supporting the wounded military personel at the Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany as their major project. However, DAR members and chapters are still encouraged to continue to support individual troops and units serving in the war zones with care packages, books, cards, letters, even socks and boots. The DAR seeks in this way to support Project Enduring Freedom and to express our appreciation for the service and sacrifices of our men and women in uniform. But, this project is not just limited to DAR members. Anyone is welcome to join us and send their thanks and appreciation, as well, and that certainly includes our prospective members.

HOW CAN I PARTICIPATE?

  • A donation of any amount will be used to purchase needed items for the patients. Hospital personnel have provided DAR with a list of the needs and wants of Landstuhl Regional Medical Center.
  • Write a letter of thanks, have your children write notes of thanks or draw pictures, especially drawings of an up-coming holiday.
  • Don't forget to send holiday cards, about 6 weeks before the holiday.
  • Pass on this information to your friends and relatives.
