Local Neighborhood Garage Sales The Lake View Hill Neighborhood Association is clustered around Lake View Hill and its surrounding woods. The Hill, which also provides neighbors and friends a variety of recreational activities, serves as a focal point for the neighborhood and the Association to which it lends its name. Many enjoy strolling the Lake View Woods' paths, visiting the local Hill cemetery (where graves date back to the 1850's), and admiring the spectacular view of the Capitol and Lake Mendota from the Hill, near the Dane County Human Services Building (formerly used as a clinic and residence for tuberculosis patients.) The purpose of the Association is to provide a spirit of community among neighborhood residents, and to deal with civic issues in the neighborhood. The Association meets regularly to share important news, discuss issues, plan projects and socialize. All residents are welcome and encouraged to participate in neighborhood activities. Sign up for e-mail notice of neighborhood meetings and activities, watch for flyers at your door announcing neighborhood meetings and events, look for notices at the Lakeview Library or Warner Park Recreation Center, or contact one of the leaders.
