Master Planning Feedback Requested
|
May 19, 2008
Greetings Lake View Neighborhood Association Members:
The Dane County Parks and the Master Planning consultant Ken Saiki Design look forward to receiving your
insight into the current use, management, and opportunities for Lake View Hill County Park, herein referred to
as The Park. If you were unable to make it to the meeting this past Saturday, May 17 we would still like to
extend the opportunity to provide us with your thoughts on The Park. The following questions are intended to
help spur thought and this is your opportunity to educate the planning team on The Park, based on your
experience as users and stakeholders from the community.
- What is your overall perception of The Park? Has your perception changed over the years? If so, in
what way(s)?
- How do you use The Park as individuals and how do you interact with The Park?
- What, if any, facilities do you find inadequate or missing within The Park?
- Have you experienced difficulties or conflicts with others in The Park? How do you resolve conflicts
related to The Park?
- Are there uses within The Park or on adjacent lands that you see as enhancements to The Park? Are
there uses within The Park or on adjacent lands that you see as conflicting with The Park?
- Do you have any key goals for The Park that you would like to share?
- What is your vision for the park in 5 years? 10 years? 25 years?
- Do you have a story or an anecdote about The Park that you would care to share?
- Is there anything specific you feel we should know about The Park that we may not be able to pick up
from the previous planning efforts and/or studies?
We will be using the information we take away from our discussion to identify any areas where we may be
missing base information; to get a better understanding of how The Park is used on a daily/weekly/yearly basis;
and to formulate goals for The Park that can be addressed within the scope of the master plan.
Please feel free to e-mail any thoughts, comments, or responses to the prompting questions to me directly at
rflood@ksd-la.com.
Regards,
Rebecca Flood
