About Us

The Learning Difference Network was established in January of 2006 by two local moms in Verona, Wisconsin (Greater Madison area in Dane County). The purpose is to connect parents and teachers who are supporting kids who learn differently. Many of the families are dealing with reading, writing, math and/or attention problems.

Monthly meetings offer adults the opportunity to learn about a variety of topics, as well as resources in the Greater Madison Area. Yearly friends and family events offer kids a chance to meet other kids. All events are free of charge. At the end of each meeting there is time for open discussion and getting to know other parents and educators. There is also an informal network of phone support and information sharing. The goal is for parents and teachers to have the knowledge to help these amazing kids succeed...and feel empowered to do it!

Informal introductions help people get to know each other--share as much or as little as you like. Bring your ideas and enjoy some time with adults who have similar hopes and worries. If you would like to be included in email updates, please contact Leni at (608) 497-0233 or Julie at (608) 845-9830 and leave a message.
