Help for College Students with Disabilities from Wrightslaw.com
Article compiled by Parent to Parent Attorneys

Parents of disabled kids are often surprised to learn that their college-bound children are no longer eligible for services under the Individuals with Disabilities Act. Although college students with disabilities are protected from discrimination under Section 504, some professors take a dim view of students who request accommodations. We collected these resources to help you learn self-advocacy skills and make the transition from high school to college.

The resources are divided into three categories:
1. your rights and responsibilities under Section 504;
2. the importance of planning and preparing;
3. keys to success.

Good luck!
