![]() ![]() More information on the way! This summer, the Lodi Area XC Ski Club is organizing three contests that will be held on Saturday, July 13th, during the Lodi Fair. The contests include: Wife Carrying Contest (ages 15 and over), Wife Ferrying Contest (ages 15 and over), and a Kid's Duck Carrying Dash (5-15). Location is still to be decided.

Cost $25 per TEAM Teams will complete in heats of two across a 240 meter obstacle course. The "wife" must wear a helmet and be over 107 lbs. Any carrying techniques that keeps the "wife" from touching the ground is permissible (Pigglyback, Fireman's Carry, Princess Carry, Estonian Style, etc). Contests will be competing for the a grand prize of the "wife's" weight in beer (21 and over only). Ages 15-20 will compete for a grand prize of the "wife's" weight in sports drinks. First and second places will receive prizes in each age category. Cost $25 per TEAM Teams will complete in heats of two across a 240 meter obstacle course. Contests will be competing for the a grand prize of the "wife's" weight in various products. First and second places will receive prizes in each age category. Cost $10 per child Individuals will carry a duck (provided at the race) across a short obstacle course. Contestants will be competing in heats of two. One prize per each age category. ![]() |
