Membership Information

I'm Interested in Attending a Meeting.

The first step is to contact Kene Okocha, Vice President of Public Relations at kookocha@gmail.com to confirm the date, time, and location of the meeting. You can attend several meetings at no charge. We will be glad to answer your questions about our club or Toastmasters in general. Participation in the meeting is voluntary because we believe in "learning at your own pace."

Dues

The club charges an initial fee (basic membership kit and registration with Toastmasters International). This fee is $20.00.

In addition, each member pays dues according to these categories:

  • Regular Member: $57.00 for 6 months (semi-annual basis); or
  • Student Member: $30.00 for 6 months (semi-annual basis).

Your semi-annual dues may be prorated based on the month you join.

Application includes completing a simple application form and paying your dues to the Treasurer. It takes 2-3 weeks for the International to send you a new member packet.

What Does Membership Include?

  • Participation in club meetings
  • Communications leadership manual (10 pre-formated speech guidelines)
  • New member mentor program (Madison Club #1 is one of the few clubs in the Madison area to offer a mentor program.)
  • New Member Packet (Orientation to club & speaking resources).
  • International Toastmasters Magazine (Monthly)
  • Access to Books, Video, and other resources at the Toastmasters International web site:
  • International Toastmaster web site (External Link)

  • Access to events sponsored by other Toastmaster clubs and District #35. This includes speech contests and conferences held in Wisconsin, the Midwest, and at the national level.

Ask about our mentoring program! Go here to find information about the club's mentoring program.
