Guests are welcome to attend several meetings without charge.

Guests are asked to sign the guest book so we can send them a future meeting announcement.

Club members and guests show appreciation and support by clapping during introductions and at the completion of a speech or meeting function (e.g. Poemaster.

Roles during the meeting are voluntary.

The Educational Vice-president will organize speeches and/or roles in advance of the meeting. Read all e-mails promptly to confirm your role in the meeting.

If you are unable to attend or speak, find a substitute or contact the Toastmaster at least 3-4 days advance of the meeting.

If you have another meeting role such as Jokemaster, contact the Evalu-Master to confirm whether you can attend the meeting.

It is a general courtesy for members to contact the Toastmaster and let them know that you are unable to attend the meeting.

Actively support the professional development of other club members and guests.

Current members are expected to recruit new members and escort guests to meetings whenever possible.

Provide telephone and e-mail address changes to the VP-Education.

Experienced members are asked to be a mentor to new members.

Pay your dues promptly to the Treasurer. You can pay on a quarterly or yearly basis.

The completion of a speech in the Basic Communication or Advanced Speech manuals, can be done outside of Madison Club #1 at other occasions if the presentation is evaluated by another Toastmaster.

The Toastmaster and speakers are not to leave the lectern (not the podium) unattended. Ask about our mentoring program! Click here to find information about the club's mentoring program.
