Madison Gem and Mineral Club

The Club will have a field trip to Utley Quarry on September 26. This quarry, near Green Lake, is known for rhyolite. We will plan to meet at 11 am at East Towne Mall, in the parking lot adjacent to Red Lobster. Those who go directly to the quarry should plan to arrive about noon. We will be granted 2-3 hrs in the quarry and at no cost.

This Quarry is very difficult to get into, according to the Field Trip Coordinator.
