Veterans' Day Events in Madison
Date: 11/11/2009


5pm: Candlelight vigil, intersection of Park St. and University Avenue, protesting the Iraq and Afghanistan wars.

6pm: view a special veterans photo exhibit by Madison photographer James Gill, at the Chazen Art Museum, 800 University Avenue (close to Park and University). The exhibit opened October 31 and runs into January 2010.

7:40pm: The Good Soldier, a newly release documentary receiving very positive national attention, is premiering at the Sundance Theater, Hilldale Mall, 430 N. Midvale Blvd., Madison, WI. Madison VFP member Will Williams, one of five soldiers extensively interviewed for this riveting and heart-breaking film, will answer questions and participate in a discussion with the audience following this show time. Check with the theater (608-316-6900) for other times. One-day only according to the theater web-site.

November Monthly Meeting

Memorial Services for Clarence Kailin
Date: 11/21/2009
Memorial services for VFP member and namesake, Clarence Kailin, will be held on Saturday, November 21st, from 6:30-9:30pm at the First Unitarian Society, 900 University Bay Drive, Madison, WI. Please join the Madison community in honoring the life of this most active and dedicated veteran and peace seeker.
