Madison Area Retiree Golf Association (MARGA)

The Madison Area Retiree Golf Association, finalizing plans for the 2010 golf season, has openings for new members in all of its seven leagues.

The association conducts play for retired persons with seven separate morning leagues on all four Madison Municipal courses.

ATTENTION: A new league is being formed at Odana Golf Course on Friday mornings!

Play for prizes is a part of each league. Handicaps, kept by the league itself, are used to determine winners. Last season almost all players won prizes. If you can play, you can win.

Leagues play at Yahara Hills on Monday and Friday; at Monona on Monday and Tuesday; at Glenway on Monday and Thursday; and Odana on Friday. The season runs for 16 weeks, beginning in late April or early May.

Tournaments are played at the end of the season and outings to other area courses are an optional part of the program.

MARGA's rules require that members be retired from their principal means of livelihood.
