Marquette Waterfront Festival Warm-up Concert: Bill Frisell

It is an incredible honor to announce that the sensational Bill Frisell's New Quartet featuring Greg Leisz - slide guitars, David Pitch - bass and Kenny Wollesen - drums will be performing on Thursday, June 8th at the Barrymore Theatre, 2090 Atwood Ave. The Marquette Neighborhood Association and the Willy St. Coop are presenting Frisell, Downbeat Magazine's critics' and fans' "Jazz guitarist of the Year," at the Marquette Waterfront Festival Warm-up Concert. The 17th annual Waterfront Festival will be June 10th and 11th at Yahara Place Park. The Frisell concert will begin at 8pm and be welcomed by WORT 89.9 FM. 40th Annual Orton Park Festival

Things are just starting to round into shape for the Marquette Neighborhood Association's 40th annual Orton Park Festival. One thing is certain... this event has become one of the best neighborhood festivals anywhere. This year we will celebrate our common existence from August 25th to the 27th under the venerable wilting oak trees in Madison's first park. A number of incredible acts including the Cycropia Aerial Dance Troupe have been confirmed to perform at our time-honored event.
