Why not consider joining a service club? There are approximately 50 service clubs in Madison and the surrounding communities. Each of them offers a unique opportunity to network for business and social purposes and gives something back to the community by volunteering for club sponsored events. Each club provides numerous leadership opportunities to help hone your leadership skills. The combined clubs provide over $500,000 in scholarship money for college bound students and over $250,000 to community nonprofit organizations. They provide thousands of hours of tutoring, reading and math assistance plus hundreds of volunteer hours serving the elderly, homebound people and other individuals in need. Find a club that meets your interests, geographic preference or meeting time. Some clubs meet during breakfast and some for lunch or dinner. Some clubs meet once each month, some twice and some every week. With the wide variety of options, you can find a club to meet your interests and schedule. Club membership is by invitation only but you are welcome to go to the Club Information section of this site, look through the listing of clubs and contact the president of any of the clubs to obtain more information. |
