Madison Masonic Learning Center for Children, Inc.

     A new tutor/trainee was added to the staff in Jan. Abbey Gruber will be tutoring two new students under the supervision of Erv Carpenter. This will bring to a total of 34 the number of students being served by the Center.

     Fourteen students and their parents were the guests of the Madison Scottish Rite and Commonwealth Lodge No. 325 at the annual Family Life Christmas Party on Friday Dec. 12th. Fun, including a magic show and a meal, was topped off by the visit of Santa Claus.

     Erv Carpenter presented the course "An Introducton to the Orton-Gillingham and Learning Disabilities - (A Historical Perspective) on Jan 23-24. This was the first of three courses leading toward Orton-Gillingham certification for educators and para-educators.
