About Us
The Madison Committee on Foreign Relations, a 501 (c)(3) tax exempt corporation, was formed in 2003 under the auspices of the American Committees on Foreign Relations. This parent organization is an offshoot of the Council on Foreign Relations in New York. Our affiliation with the ACFR provides us with noteworthy speakers on a variety of international issues. Neither the MCFR nor the ACFR have any political affinity. MCFR is not a PAC nor does our local or national membership represent any one point of view on the political spectrum. The organization is dedicated to non-partisan, non-advocacy, open, but not-for-attribution, discussion of issues facing the United States and other nations. MCFR is a membership organization. Our events are funded by member dues as a benefit to our members. MCFR membership is open to all desiring to become better informed about foreign affairs and to connect with others in the community who share the same interest. We welcome prospective members to attend one event as a guest. MCFR offers a variety of membership options tailored to individual and organizational interests.
