The MGE Foundation provides a range of support to nonprofit organizations and activities in the community. Since 1968, the Foundation has funded thousands of requests from agencies that help our neighbors in need to local cultural events.
	United Way of Dane County is one of MGE's major benefactors. The company, employees and retirees consistently rank in the top 10 for total giving each year. We raise money with book and bake sales, a Penny Challenge and a brat fest.
MGE promotes safety with our classroom programs and at local events. We sponsor Safety Saturday, which features public safety agencies and businesses that encourage safe behavior and injury prevention.
