About Us

MITA membership is comprised of South Central Wisconsin's private industries, educational institutions, and state and federal government agencies. The close link between these parties enables discussion on topics affecting a variety of stakeholders active in international trade.

MITA members share information about various aspects of international business through a program of monthly meetings, conferences and panel discussions. In particular, we strive to create an environment for people to network with public and private sector representatives. Interaction among MITA members and guests has provided valuable contacts and useful information for expanding business opportunities.

The Madison International Trade Association was formed in April, 1979 to develop and expand international trade, and provide a forum for members to exchange ideas. We are interested in promoting a better public understanding and appreciation of the significance of international trade, as well as fostering a standard of high ethical conduct in international business.
