Middleton Youth Hockey, Inc. (MYH) was formed in 2001, and began its first season as a Division 3 club in 2002. Since then, the club has grown from a few dedicated parents to over 150 skaters!

MYH is a non-profit organization formed to provide a healthy, competitive and educational program of recreational and competitive hockey to boys and girls of the Middleton-Cross Plains Area School District. While the degree of competitiveness at which any team plays at will be the result of the combined desires of the players, parents and coaches, the top one or two teams at each level will generally be considered "competitive", and should expect to play more games and attend more tournaments than a "recreational" team. Participation in tournaments at the recreational level will be at the option of the team.

It is our philosophy to promote the advancement of youth athletics through hockey by developing teamwork, sportsmanship, respect and camaraderie, while enhancing hockey skills, social development and competition. With that philosophy in mind, the club has established the following goals, to help all its skaters SOAR to success:

Strive to teach the skills and fundamentals of the great sport of hockey

Opportunity to bring hockey to all skaters regardless of ability to pay

Atmosphere conducive to fun and competitive play

Responsibility to serve our community

It takes a concerted effort by the parents, players and coaches to achieve these goals. In addition to a Player's Code of Conduct, parents are asked to read and sign a Parent's Pledge, which serves to remind parents of the standards of conduct expected by MYH. Coaching standards are established and enforced by the Coaching Committee.
