Children of the Rainforest: Serevende Marimba Ensemble

The Serevende Marimba Ensemble will wow the audience with a unique combination of multiple marimbas, from baritone to soprano, played together and accompanied by drums from Brazil, Cuba, and West Africa. Serevende is an African word meaning something that goes on and on. This new Madison-based group carries on the unique rhythms of the rainforest from around the world. The Children of the Rainforest series offers performances for families to celebrate cultural differences in rainforest regions around the world.

Children of the Rainforest: Hale O Malo Polynesian Dance

Come out of the cold and into the tropics for lively Polynesian music and dance. The Milwaukee-based Hale O Malo Polynesian Dance brings the culture of the Polynesian Islands to Olbrich. Its apparent something important is about to begin when the traditional conch shell is blown to open the show. Enjoy the live dancers, drummers, and musicians from the islands of Hawaii, Somoa, Fiji, Tonga, Tahiti, and New Zealand. The Children of the Rainforest series offers performances for families to celebrate cultural differences in rainforest regions around the world.

Indulgence: Wine and Chocolate Tasting

This decadent evening features tastings of an array of delightful local wines paired with the ultimate indulgence handcrafted chocolates made by talented local chocolatiers. Meet the chocolate artists and wine producers as you sample their wares and stroll through a candlelit conservatory with a string ensemble in the background. As a token of the evening, take home a commemorative wine glass and continue sipping! Tickets are $17 for Olbrich members, $20 for the general public and $10 for a designated driver. Olbrich's Leaf Mulch Sale

Friday 2 - 5 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. Now you can have the same top quality mulch used in Olbrich's gardens. The shredded, composted leaves enrich soil and provide nourishment and protection for your gardens, shrubs, and trees. The leaf mulch also keeps the weeds down, holds in water, and looks great. Bags of mulch are $6, includes tax. Bulk quantities will also be available. Concerts in the Gardens

Rhapsody in Bloom

Saturday, June 20 from 5 - 10 p.m. Rhapsody in Bloom, Madison's largest garden party, is held in the Gardens on Saturday, June 20. Mingle with friends while dining in the lush summer gardens. Enjoy Olbrich's Rose Garden with night lighting and place a bid on exotic plants. Olbrich Botanical Gardens will be closed to the public all day on June 20 to prepare for Rhapsody in Bloom. Olbrich's Blooming Butterflies

10 a.m. - 4 p.m. daily Experience the wonder of strolling through a tropical forest on a search for fleeting butterflies. Live butterflies emerge from chrysalises daily in the Bolz Conservatory. Olbrich's Blooming Butterflies is a great adventure for people of all ages. Learn about butterfly-attracting plants in the outdoor gardens and visit the Growing Gifts shop. Children can visit stamping stations in the outdoor gardens with their butterfly passport while learning fun facts. General admission is $5, children 3 - 12 is $3, and free for children under 2. Olbrich members are admitted free. The Bolz Conservatory will be closed Monday, July 13 and Tuesday, July 14 in preparation for the event. Quilts in Bloom: Fall Quilt and Flower Show

Olrbich's Holiday Express: Flower and Train Model Show

Large-scale model trains, provided by members of the Wisconsin Garden Railway Society, chug their way through creative miniature landscapes nestled among hundreds of colorful poinsettias. After touring the show, relax with friends and family and enjoy tea, coffee, hot chocolate, and cookies available for purchase in the lobby. Olbrich's Photo Depot provides the perfect background for a holiday photo. Admission for Olbrich members is free. Admission for the general public is $3, children 3 to 12 is $2, and children 2 and under are free. Admission to the tropical Bolz Conservatory is included.
