Parental Stress Center

The Parental Stress Center, Inc. was created in 1976 by a small group of community citizens who were concerned about the increase in child abuse and neglect. The mission developed by that group has not changed, but has expanded over the years. The Parental Stress Center, Inc. is a private, non-profit 501(c) (3) corporation, incorporated in the State of Wisconsin in l977. The agency is located in Madison, Wisconsin, in the heart of Dane County.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Parental Stress Center, Inc. is to prevent child abuse and neglect, strengthen families, and promote healing of those affected by abuse, through the provision of culturally competent and diverse professional, volunteer and peer services.
