Campus Community Partnerships

Business and education are joining forces in South Madison to plan and carry out classes and job development that grow in number every week. The Campus Community Partnerships, comprised of the UW-Madison, UW Extension Services, Madison Area Technical College and Edgewood College, is leading the way with new career ladder student offerings, including programs in computers, health care and business development. ESL and GED classes are being added rapidly, with current offerings full and wait listed. The new "Biomedical Corridor" and "Health Care Main Street" collaborations among St. Marys, UW and Meriter hospitals will need many more workers to advance this large and exciting enterprise, and new agreements will be forthcoming. These will stimulate the growth of complementary small businesses.
