ProRail members will join other members of the Wisconsin Association of Railroad Passengers (WisARP), the Midwest High Speed Rail Association (MHSRA), and Region 7 of the National Association Of Railroad Passengers (NARP) at the joint meeting of three passenger rail organizations on Saturday, March 29, 2008, at the Milwaukee Hilton City Center at 5th and Wisconsin Ave. Registration is at 10:15. The Wisconsin Secretary of Transportation, Frank Busalacchi, will be the keynote speaker following the 10:30 opening remarks by John Parkyn, President of WisARP. Participants can start with an optional 9:30 tour of the new Milwaukee Intermodal Station - the recently remodeled Amtrak/Greyhound station three blocks from the hotel. Alternatively, they can join a discussion at the hotel at 9:30. The Program also will feature Alderman Robert Bauman; upcoming changes at NARP; future of Chicago Union Station; MHSRA progress report; Washington updates; and introduction of a new Illinois Transit Riders' Alliance poster. The joint meeting will close at 2:30, with WisARP continuing to meet until 3:00.
