Sadira at UW International Dance Showcase

Sadira will perform in the UW Division of Continuing Studies International Dance Showcase, Friday Feb. 13, 3:30-4:30PM H'Doubler Theater, Lathrop Hall, UW-Madison. This program will feature works by Division of Continuing Studies dance instructors. Free and open to the public.

Sadira performs with Kanopy Dance at Art Fair on the Square

Sadira will perform with Kanopy Dance the annual Art Fair on the Square, Saturday July 11 5:00-6:00PM. The performance will feature solo and group pieces by Kanopy Dance, Sadira, Gaelic Fusion and Tania Tandias. This family friendly program will showcase multiple dance styles - Modern, Middle Eastern, Ballet, Flamenco and Gaelic in their "pure" form as well as some collaborative pieces that blend the dance genres.
Continuing/Intermediate Middle Eastern Dance Fall classes

This class is geared for people with some background in Middle Eastern dance background. The focus will include more complex technique,layering & presentation. Bring your finger cymbals! Sadira performs raks sharki, the solo women's dance of the Middle East, on Saturday December 5, at the Shish Cafe, 5510 University Ave. Two performances, 6:30PM & 7:30 PM. Have fun and get in shape with Middle Eastern dance! This class will increase grace, strength and flexibility while building the foundation of Middle Eastern dance. The class will include walking steps, finger cymbals, graceful slow movements and cool music. 14 weeks, Tuesday evenings, 5:30-7:00PM. This innovative program fuses Kanopy's signature modern style with Middle Eastern, Flamenco, Bharatanatyam, and African dance.
