The Valley of Madison Scottish Rite (32° Masons) is located in the Madison Masonic Center in downtown Madison, just two blocks from the Capitol Square. This beautiful building, which was completed in 1925, was originally known as the Temple of Freemasonry. It was designed by the well-known Madison architects James & Edward Law. Its dedication on Sept. 30, 1925, was headlined in the Wisconsin State Journal. An official state and Madison landmark, it is also listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Besides being home to the 32° Masons, it is also home to a number of other Masonic organizations (see below). In recent years it has also become a community resource, available for wedding receptions, large dinners, conferences, speeches, musical events, plays, etc.
It's facilities include a ballroom which can also seat up to 500 for dinner, an auditorium seating 950, a large lounge suitable for informal receptions, a small dining room seating 50, meeting rooms, and a full kitchen.
The Madison Masonic Center office can be contacted by email MMC office, or by phone at 608 256-5734.
