(the Dells tourney is back to its normal position in mid-October) ==MINNESOTA vs. WISCONSIN== ==SEPTEMBER 15 & 16, 2007== We must keep the number of players even between the two states. So, in order to register, contact your director. We'll keep tabs, and keep everyone informed on how many have signed up. Black River Falls, Wi. 74615 (virtually halfway between Madison and the Twin Cities, ~140 mi) The format will be the same as last year. Entry fee $25 for all players. Division cutoffs will be determined based on ratings of players who enter. The tourney will be CLOSED (open only to MN-WI players; will not show up on the NSA calendar) and FULLY RATED. Each game will be a match between a WI player and a MN player Prize $$$ will go to individual placers in each div., as well as to the winning state. ============= Room reservations: Location: Holiday Inn Express (same place as last year) W10170 Hwy 54 East 1-888-HOLIDAY (465-4329) BE SURE to mention the Scrabble Tournament! The rate is $84 for two queen beds. Please do NOT make your reservations using rates you got from the Internet or anywhere else. We are getting the $300 meeting space for free BASED UPON our reserving 20 guest rooms at the $84 per night price. If you book some other way to get a cheaper rate, it will not count toward our free meeting space. We want to keep your entry fee LOW, and return as much $$$ as possible to the players, so PLEASE only reserve rooms at the $84 rate, and be sure to mention Scrabble. You may certainly stay over Friday night if you wish, but in order to fulfill our reservation requirement, only the Saturday night reservations are being counted.
